Black History Museum of Indpls

When you think of a museum celebrating the lives of blacks worldwide, you naturally think of Nelson Mandela, George Washington Carver, the Tuskegee Airmen, Martin Luther King, Jr, Louis Armstrong,
Hank Aaron, Michael Jordan, Mohammed Ali, Colin Powell, Thurgood Marshall, Malcolm X, Oprah Winfrey,
Barach Obama, and many others...but don't I deserve a place in history...don't you deserve a place in history."

Many great people have distinguished themselves in so many ways and have contributed so much to mankind. But really, are there lives any more important than every black person who has walked the earth? Does not everyone contribute something in some way and does not everyone deserve to be recognized for his or her achievements. Don't I deserve a place in history...don't you deserve a place in history?"

We are so excited about the Black History Museum in Indianapolis. This museum will feature exhibits and artifacts from the famous, from those whose wonderful contributions to mankind are well known. But it will also feature ME and can feature YOU - and the names of every person who wants to be remembered for
something. Don't I deserve a place in history...don't you deserve a place in history?"

The Black History Museum in Indianapolis will be unique in that it will include those blacks who served our country and defended our freedom, who served in law enforcement and firefighting, who taught our kids,
who provided healthcare, who built buildings and homes, and also those who cared for them. All of these people are so important and should be remembered. Don't I deserve a place in history...don't you deserve a place in history?"

Being a part of the Black History Museum should be important to you and others in your family who came before you - if yours ancestors were slaves or fought in the Civil War to help abolish slavery, who marched in the freedom marches, who worked voted for the Civil Rights Act, who helped break the color lines in major league sports, who fought for equal opportunities, jobs, housing and government.  You deserve a place in history. And so do they."

The Black History Museum in Indianapolis believes that everyone is important, that everyone should be recognized and honored. And that includes you. The goal of the museum is for every person - past, present and even future - to be recognized for his or her contributions to humanity. There are so many ways to be recognized and quite a few great benefits also.
Don't you deserve a place in history? "

We are raising funds to renovate and house this "once in a lifetime" museum to honor YOU, and diversity in our community, scheduled to kickoff in the spring of 2016.
