My name is Grace Alexander, CEO of Star Children Initiative. We are a Not -For -Profit organization that promotes Human Rights and inclusion for all. We are embarking on a project tagged 'Enable A Disabled Child To Access Education in Nigeria'. Ther are still no targeted support for over 30 million people living with disabilities. . This project is for disabled children living in Nigeria where the issue of stigma around disability is still prevailent. This project aligns with the new expanded development called Sustainable Development Goals by United Nations (SDGs) #LeaveNoOneBehind# we want to smiles on the faces of these children from poor socio-economic background who cannot pay their school fees and those who are in school cannot afford assisitve devices that can enable them to learn without stress. Schools in Nigeria do not have braille textbooks, some children with no mobility at all or experiencing restricted mobility are been carried into classrooms. Most students with visual impairment (blind) do not have access to Braille typewriters.
UNESCO believes that education is a human right for all throughout life and that access must be matched by quality. It has been entrusted to lead the Global Education 2030 Agenda through Sustainable Development Goal 4. Your donation will enable a disabled child access education which will improve their life chances. Lack of education has been linked to poverty,. Every donation will be used to pay their school fees and purchase assistive devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, Braille Typewriters, Braille textbooks and white Canes.Enable a disabled child today with your donation and his/her future of a better tomorrow is assured, Every penny counts for these children.
