10 months ago, my husband and I adopted a beautiful baby boy from a wonderful young Mother named Matilda. Matilda does not have the easiest life, yet never complains or asks for anything. Today I found out that the father of her 2 children she is raising, ages 7 and 9, unexpectedly lost his life last week at age 28. My family and I are devastated for her and her family.
We can’t express the indebtedness we will forever feel towards Matilda. She gave us the greatest gift any one person can give another. I know we can’t take the pain away for the loss of life and the devastation this is causing Matilda, her children and extended family. But we are hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden she is facing by reaching out to friends, family and our community to raise money to help Matilda and her family. It is the very least we can do.
We would greatly appreciate any donation to help Matilda and her family through this difficult time and the long road she and her family have ahead of them. Your immediate consideration is much appreciated.
