Hello!
My name is James Nelson from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA. I am currently working on raising funds to travel with the international nonprofit organization Up with People for a second semester.
Up with People is an international organization comprised of 100 people from 15 countries and 23 US states who all stand on one stage promoting a message of peace, diversity, and understanding while empowering youth to become positive agents of change through music and action. We participate in community action wherever we go and stay with host families to break down global barriers and share in new cultures.
I am currently traveling in my first semester of Up with People, to make a positive impact in dozens of communities across the globe and I would like to continue with a positive change for the next six months.
This is where I am calling for your help: I need to raise the funds for a second semester. This is your chance to help make a difference in the world. I am asking for a donation of anything you can do. To add perspective, a donation of $65 or more covers the cost of an entire day. On the day of your, or your company's, choice, I will send you a postcard from where I am in the world with an update of the service you are helping to provide. Throughout my trip I will use social media to publically thank you and/or your company for your support in my journey to promote a world of peace.
