Jacobia English Lane(37) of Sumter, SC was shot and killed early Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 in Gastonia, NC in a drive by shooting while in town to lay her sister-in-law to rest who died of cancer just days before.
The unknown suspect(s), using a high powered rifle, randomly targeted the house full of adults and children striking and killing Jacobia. The family is seeking answers in this tragic, unprovoked and senseless murder. We are raising money to go towards a reward for anyone who comes forward with information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible. We are in hopes that this reward money will encourage someone to come forward with what they know. Jacobia leaves behind to cherish her memories, a loving husband, 2 children and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly as she was such loving and giving soul to all she came in contact with. A portion of these funds will go toward increasing the existing $1000 reward from Gastonia, NC Crime Stoppers and the remainder will go towards a college fund for her kids. This amount will be specified by the family.
We, the family are seeking justice in her untimely death and appreciate every donation, big or small that will help towards bringing us answers and closure.
