Jack's Laughs

  Jack was injured and lost his right forefoot in a lawn mower accident in April of 2010.   About a year and a half after his accident, Jack saw another little boy on the news that had also lost his foot to a lawn mower accident. Jack was five years old at that time. He ran to his toy box and started tossing out all sorts of toys and he looked back at me with a look of desperation saying "Come on! Help me! We have to make that little boy laugh again!" He was pulling out every toy that had made him laugh when he was in the hospital. It melted my heart. We took the gifts to the boy and spoke with the family and saw how much it truly helped them to hear their child laugh, to see a future for their child through Jack, and to not feel alone in their battle to recovery.
 
 Our goal is to help families heal through laughter and to spread awareness of the dangers that lawn mowers pose. The American Academy of Pediatrics estimates that 17,000 children are injured by lawn mowers each year.

    We believe laughter is a great healing tool. Our hope is to be able to send a "Laugh Bag" to every child we find that needs to smile through their hard times.

    Each bag we send has a variety of toys and activities that we hope can bring some cheer and giggles to the child and their family.

  As of now our Laugh Bags have been funded by our own money and some donations from our families and local churches and businesses.  Evenutally we want our charity to help as many kids as we can.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
