Nepal Immersion
Donation protected
On December 28th 2018, myself and nine other boys will be travelling to Nepal on an immersion.
What will we be doing?
During this time, we will visit the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu, where we will work along side the sisters of the mission of charity, who compassionately tend to the elderly and dying, many of whom have been abandoned by their families often as a result of illness and disease as well as monetary constraints. Here, we leave funds with the sisters that go toward clean water and food as well as the upkeep of their facilities.
From there, we travel to Ratamata, a remote village south east of Kathmandu, where we will visit a small school. During this visit we will spend three days teaching and playing sport with primary to high school aged children. In Nepal, access to quality education is limited and is often reserved for the wealthy, as a result, the education rate in Nepal is very low, almost half of Australia's. The money donated is vital for the upkeep of the school as without access to this facility many in the village and surrounding villages would not have.
The money raised for this trip will all go to an incredible cause, your kind generosity will not go unnoticed by the people we meet along the way.
