Spencer was born on Nov. 8th 2018 sweet as can be! Everything was normal, he was a healthy happy baby boy! Spencer had normal baby issues that mom and dad brought up at his check-ups, lots of spitting up! They had his tongue and lip tie fixed in hopes that would help, with no luck! They tried different formulas and acid reflux medications but that wasn't helping either. His doctor went on to do more tests after everything they had already tried failed. After an ultrasound, Spencer had to immediately be taken to the closest children's hospital to have surgery on his stomach in January, at just 3 months old. After a short hospital stay Spencer was ready to go home still such a happy little boy!

After coming home mom and dad noticed that Spencer was having difficulties holding up his neck and they brought this concern up at his next checkup. He was diagnosed with Torticollis which is typically an easy fix, but unfortunately, in Spencer's case it hasn't been.

Not only does Spencer have difficulties holding his head up and developmental delays, he still has difficulty feeding and therefore is in intensive feeding therapies.

Since April Spencer has been attending 8+ therapy appointments a week, these include: feeding therapies, occupational therapies, physical therapies, and specialists. Spencer also sees, geneticists, neurologists, gastroenterologists, and physiatrists.

In Spencers, short little life he has had multiple hospital stays and multiple tests ran as his doctors have decided he is a puzzle. They have said Spencer has had seizures, but not epileptic seizures thankfully!

They can not give Spencers parents a proper diagnosis as they are puzzled by him, however they do say they think it's a neuromuscular disorder.

At this time his wonderful team of doctors are trying to just treat each situation individually. His doctors have decided to send him to Seattle Children's Hospital to have surgery on his neck, as all other procedures and therapies have failed.

Due to all of the appointments each week, the travel to Spencer's appointments that are between 30 minutes to an hour from home. Spencer's mom is no longer able to work. The expenses in fuel and medical costs have taken a toll on the families finances, now the added expense of travel to Seattle and dad having to take time off of work, with multiple hospital stays dad is out of PTO, and will have to miss work without pay.

We have done an estimation of costs that are going to accrue for the parents in this time and the missed work that both mom and dad will have and have set our goal. With the Grace of God and love and support of friends and family we know the family will come out stronger on the other side. Even if you cannot donate the family is asking for all the prayers they can get.
