Wildrose for wildrose

Thanks for your donations. We put together a list of people that were most impacted by consulting with current and former staff over the past few days. The recommendations we received came from senior staff (and former senior staff) in the party, which three of us have independently compared notes on to find the most fair and equitable way of disbursing funds.
We will be providing a full accounting of how much was donated, but in the interest of the recipients' privacy won't be releasing names. These people have been through a lot, and we've not required that their names be published as part of receiving funds, so at this point it'd a violation of their privacy to do so. Rather than put them on display we're hoping to be genuinely thankful for their work by delivering these donations without them feeling beholden to donors or paraded around. That being said there are some conditions:
1) Recipients are welcome to thank the donors. Privacy is for their benefit, it's not a requirement.
2) The recipients can of course decline the donation.
3) If the recipients find immediate and equal employment we'd ask they donate the money to a worthy cause.
We want to be as transparent as possible. Every penny will be accounted for in a follow-up. We're distributing funds equally up to 11 people, including those currently laid-off who will receive funds immediately, and those we expect are at immediate risk that we'll re-evaluate in January. If we've over-estimated we'll divide the remainder among those laid-off. Our primary list is unemployed staff, but we've also been recommended a short list of some who are now seriously underemployed. Preference is to those laid-off, but in the spirit of these donations we want to ensure no one's left suffering.
Please don't hesitate to email if you have further questions.
over 20.000, in four days. wildroses you guys are great, helping our own
Hey Jerry, if you have a class one license, message me.
Jerry, what makes this a special circumstance is that Danielle Smith and her traitorous MLAs were directly responsible for blind-siding these employees. I certainly hope the former leader of the Wildrose Party contributes to this fund. I'll make sure to forward her the link.
This is what conservatism looks like. There have been many other times when the Wild Rose has taken a body punch and got up - the 2013 Calgary Stampede, the High River floods, etc. We help those who need a hand up - especially when they've been sideswiped by misfortune and trouble they did not create. It's who we are.
I will do the same Jerry. My daughter is being laid off and going through streds to but I will stand by her. You will get some help if you ask in the formal format. Write on my FB wall when you are ready and I will forward post the request to my FB friends.
Puts the PCAA in perspective. It's all about winning at all costs no matter who is hurt in the process. Totally callous but not unexpected. I prefer to lose and not leave anyone behind.
Jerry set up a gofundme account and I will flip you some money. So long as you use it to take the colored mistletoe and string of Christmas lights off of your resume. #freeadvice
Jerry, these are not politicians, these are office workers. And human beings being taken care of by other human beings. If you don't like it, don't donate.
I was as shocked as EVERYONE ELSE with the news of this treachery .... BUT REALLY ? CROWDFUNDING? This JUST HAPPENED... these people probably still have a full paycheck coming in .. I work as a Safety Advisor and I haven't had any work for over a month - just went to the bank the other day to borrow off my credit cards.. WHERE'S MY CROWDFUNDING? wow... you politicians sure know how to take care of each other.. if anyone wants to turn my holidays around , hire me or send me some work contacts.. my daughter and wife want a Merry Christmas too.. firstname.lastname@example.org #needachristmasmiracle
As a fiscally conservative, socially liberal, political reformer, I'm am disappointed in the selfishness demonstrated by these members without consulting the riding they represent. Back room deals help no one but those doing the deal and have no place in a representative democracy. Cory G. Litzenberger President & Founder CGL Strategic Business & Tax Advisors - CGLtax.ca
Thank you Wildrose staff for your dedication to our province these last several years. You've been amazing.
