Help us replace what was stolen

Donation protected
I’ve never been one to ask for handouts but I feel incredibly guilty being it was my idea to store our stuff in a trailer instead of getting a rental unit.

My family and I were forced to move on short notice due to a family member’s mental condition. We found and bought a house and scraped together everything we could to make the down payment and finally settle down. However it takes 28 days to close, so we had been waiting to move in.

We stored all our belongings in an enclosed trailer and locked it up tight with a ball lock, heavy duty pad lock, and a wheel lock. Long story short, that trailer was stolen Sunday night.

All our keepsakes and special memories from baptismal gowns, baby pictures, hand me down jewelry, and other special items our 5 & 6 yr old girls had are gone. All our furniture is gone, dishes, clothes, kids toys, computers, and pretty much everything we owned is gone.

Heathyre also lost everything that was special to her as it was the last stuff to be loaded in the trailer. Her wedding rings, jewelry, books, and everything that held sentimental value.

Some of the stuff will be covered by insurance, but unfortunately we didn’t realize we didn’t have nearly enough (hadn’t change the limits since we were in college) and the trailer was only just bought and hadn’t even had the title transferred yet, so that’s a complete loss as well.

After making the down payment on our house, I don’t have the means to replace everything that was lost for our kids or Heathyre. Now with everything gone and having to start completely over, just buying the basics will be tough.

I’ve never asked for a handout and it sucks asking now, but I feel responsible for my family losing everything they loved and want to try make everything right again.

Everything happens for a reason, but right now I fail to see the reason why.

Please like and share this post. The trailer in the picture above is of our trailer. It has damage on the front left lower corner on the diamond plate. There was no license plate on it at the time of theft and it is a 2005 haulmark 20’ long trailer. It was last located at 1820 Coon rapids blvd nw, Coon Rapids, mn 55433. If you see this trailer or even think it might be it, call it in to 911 ASAP. Worst case it’s not the same one and no big deal. More than likely they put a fake plate on it as whoever stole it was likely a pro from what people have told me.

We lost well over $25,000 of stuff, but I’d happily give all that up just for the kids baby pictures and keepsakes back.
