Start-up JFON Site in El Centro, CA

The First United Methodist Church of El Centro is applying to be the only southwest JFON site. JFON is Justice for Our Neighbors, a United Methodist ministry. JFON supports a hospitality ministry that welcomes immigrants by providing affordable, high-quality immigration legal services to low-income immigrants, and offering education to to the public.
We are raising money in order to be a full time clinic, with two part-time attorneys who will serve the Imperial Valley and provide high-quality legal services that are very much in demand in this county. We will be unique in that we will serve detained clients as well.
Although we are applying for funding from different sources, we are in need of more funds for start-up. We are hoping to get the clinic up and running in the next couple of months and need to line up funding as soon as possible. I know that there are many many great causes you can contribute to, but I hope you will please give whatever you can to this wonderful cause. There are so many here in need of legal assistance who cannot afford it and desperately need help!
