Ivanka Antova for Lisnasharragh

I have been a socialist and an activist for many years. Having made Belfast my home and the people of Belfast my community, I cannot witness the hostility against working class people and migrants that the establishment politicians have declared. Their politics of austerity, of sectarian and racist division, and of continuously ignoring and silencing working class people is what brings all of us down.

I love South Belfast and the Lisnasharragh area. This is where many of my closest friends live and work. But the Lisnasharragh area has been  neglected for a long time. The welfare reform has destroyed so many working class people's lives and families. Racism and sectarianism have contributed to a deep feeling of division and fear. No more!

Lisnasharragh needs a socialist in Belfast City Council to fight for progressive policies that benefit working class people. Lisnasharragh needs a candidate dedicated to fighting racism who will represent all people in the community. I hope I can be this candidate and dedicate all that I have to the people in my community.
