My name is Isabelle Harrison, I live in a small town outside of Bathurst NSW and last year I was fortunate enough to be selected to attend the UN Youth Australia's Pacific Project, along with 11 other young Australians.
During July this year, I will undertake a 2-week tour of East Timor. During the trip, I will spend time working closely with local communities and grassroots organisations, as well as meeting with diplomats at Australia’s Embassy in East Timor, to further my understanding of sustainable development and the challenges of international aid, a topic I am extremely interested in.
The total cost of the project is $6350, and as a student, covering the cost of this trip is difficult. To get to this target I have been fundraising at school and in my community . Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated, and is one step closer in allowing me to take part in such a wonderful opportunity!
