Isabella Helena Danetti was born on April 5, 2005 to Tanya and Thomas Danetti. She lived in Bellmore, NY where she grew to love Gymnastics, Dance, Soccer and became a Girl Scout. She had a zest for the outdoors. Her Family moved to Florida in March 2016 to start new careers.
In Agust 2016, Isabella became ill. She became weak and complained of chronic pain in sides and back. Isabella began hospital admissions in october 2016 and has had 26 since then. She has had 6 different pediatricians, received 4 ultra sounds, 2 MRI's and bi-weekly bloodwork and urinalysis to determine the cause of her ailments. During this time Doctors found that Isabella had severe allergies to red 40, blue dye, green dye, and titanium dioxide. These allergies require foods that has her mom traveling to 3 stores a week.
In December 2016 Isabella was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease, PKD. PKD ia genetic condition marked by growth of numerous cysts int he kidneys. These cysts make the kidneys much larger than they should be and damage the tissue the kidneys are made of. PKD causes chronic kidney disease, which can lead to kindey failure, or end-stage renal disease. The symptoms Isabella endures are chronic abnominal pain, pain in sides, Urinary Tract infections, Kidney crystals, back pain, joint pain, fatigue and very high blood pressure causing heart palpatations requiring a recent 30 day heart monitoring. Isabela is currently "hospital homebound". She attends school for 2.5 hours a day and receives the rest of her education at home online. Her parents pay for tutoring 1-2 times a week to help maintain her academics. Isabella requires constant supervision resulting in her mother, Tanya, significantly reducing her full time work scedule to less than half. Her Dad, Tommy, is working around the clock to make up for thsi loss in salary. Besides this, the insurance does not cover all the medical expenses required for her treatment. These copays and additional out of pocket expenses have become overwhelming for the family.
We are hoping that friends and family can help and donate to ease some of the worry from the financial restraints so that they can focus on continued treatment. Isabella deserves the best care she can get!
