Following the success of our first ‘is it worth it?’ bus tour please help with the next phase of the ‘is it worth it?’ campaign calling for a People's Vote on the deal - to take place once we know what that deal is likely to be.
We made a big impact during our 8 day, 33 stop tour including:
· Six appearances on UK national TV
· 19 articles in national newspapers in the UK
· 22 articles in local and regional newspapers
· 7 reports on regional TV and radio including the main item on BBC Look North
· International broadcasters from six countries running TV or radio reports
Our question has become a key element of the Brexit debate and was posed to Theresa after her Mansion House speech and to Philip Hammond by Andrew Marr. Neither said ‘yes, Brexit is worth it’ replying only that they had to carry out the decision of the British people. When our leaders show so little enthusiasm for Brexit, the country has every right to ask ‘is it worth it?’
Now we need £15,000 to pay for a week’s bus tour in November. This will run between the EU summit and the crucial parliamentary vote on the deal. It will communicate to MPs the strength of feeling in their constituencies and across the country: the people must be given a chance to vote on the deal - and to decide we stay in the EU if they don't like it.
If we meet this target, then the tour goes ahead but if we fall short, the proceeds will roll over to another pro-European cause or will be refunded should individuals request it.
The precise wording has yet to be finalised but will include Brexit: is it worth it?
