Irma Relief 2017
Aerophlix Media – a small local drone photography and video company – is working with The City of Powell to collect donations in aid of the hurricane relief efforts in Florida. We’ve established a donation drop-off point at Chalkdust CrossFit at 46 Village Pointe Drive, Powell OH. The response so far has been incredible. We urge you to join the efforts in aiding the battered residents of Florida, as they begin recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Irma. We will also be holding a donation drive at the City of Powell Police Station at 47 Hall St, Powell, OH this Friday, September 15th. Items in high demand are bottled water, canned food, baby food, heavy duty contractor trash bags, paper goods, pillows, blankets, work gloves, dust masks, cleaning supplies, and gift cards.
Aerophlix Media has set up this GoFundMe to better assist the victims of Hurricane Irma. These contributions will be used to transport donations and help individual families in their recovery! We've already received several pleas of help from different families currently trying to cope with major or total devastation to their homes in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Further, Steven Helmrich, an FAA licensed professional drone pilot, and founder of Aerophlix Media, will be traveling to Florida with his family this coming week to aid in search & rescue, and damage survey activities. Drone pilots in Texas, in the wake of Harvey, (see: https://www.wired.com/story/houston-recovery-drones/amp) have made a considerable impact working with companies and civic agencies alike to survey and analyze damage, and aid in search & rescue efforts.
