Interpreter for Summers grandparent
Donation protected
As most of you know, Summer Grant sadly passed away in the bouncy castle tragedy in Harlow, Essex.
This week in Chelmsford court the trial started which would hear cases from the couple who have been charged with the manslaughter and also witnessed that are called upon.
Now, imagine this was your Grandaughter and you couldn't have access to what is being said in court.
Sadly, this is the case for Summers grandparents who are profoundly deaf but because they are not being called up as witnesses, the court therefore has no legal requirement to provide a BSL interpreter.
Summers grandparents are in need of an interpreter so therefore require the help to raise funds to provide them with an Interpreter to gain access to what is being said in court from the public gallery.
A BSL interpreter is apprx £300 for half a day including expenses.
So therefore myself; Tamara -a friend of the family have created a target for £2,000 which will cover an interpreters expense over a course of some days out of the possible 3 weeks that this trial is likely to go on for.
The Interpreter is in need as from tomorrow. So please dont read this and donate later. We need the funds asap. All monies raised will be withdrawn by myself in my name and given to Sharon in person to pay for their interpreter.
Make equality happen - make Summers grandparents see what is being said and hopefully see justice being served.
Being deaf shouldn't mean that you should miss out, they already have missed enough.
Please donate whatever you can afford every penny and pound will help.
Thank you so much x
