Independence Park Vandalism Repair

Donation protected
Independence Park was my dream. A dream to help children with disabilities have a place to go where they could play alongside their peers, siblings, friends and family in as unrestricted environment as possible.

On September 17th, 2000, that dream became reality when Independence Park was opened to the public. Paid for entirely with grants and contributions from the public, the park was the first of it's kind in the state of Indiana.

Most recently, the park has been hit by vandals who have been destroying pieces of the Music Center For Children With Autism. The center consists of custom made, outdoor instruments, hand tuned and are able to be played by children of all abilities. Replacing missing pieces and repairing the equipment puts undo financial stress on the parks department. And since this is a community funded park, I am looking to the community to help offset these costs.

100% of the proceeds raised here will go to Johnson County Park and Recreation and will be placed in a fund specifically for reapir of the music center and any upgrades to the park equipment. There is consideration being given to a security camera at this time as well.
