In memory of my love Michael Gurecki To fight a rare form of liver cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma
My one and only love lost his life at just 31 years of age not knowing he was suffering from Cholangiocarcinoma, bile duct cancer. Mike lived his life to the fullest touching the lives of all whom crossed his path. His kindness, positivity, and laid back demeanor rubbed off on anyone he was around. Mike loved doing many things. He loved sports, especially ice hockey, traveling, hiking, road biking, mountain biking, playing guitar, cooking, and spending time with our dog, Tyson, whom he raised. Mike was a great man and so full of life.
Mike went to the ER after experiencing some calf pain. After a couple days in the hospital, Mike was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer unsure of the kind or source. Days after the diagnosis, he unexpectedly took his last breath with his girl, parents, and in-laws by his side; his old soul taken from us far too soon. During his week long stay at the hospital Mike was fortunate to be supported with daily visits from his parents, Stan and Diane, and sister, Meg with family Jimmy, Ella, and Jack. In addition to his immediate family Mike's aunt, cousins, and friends were in constant communication and visited over the weekend. No one knew how little time he had. It wasn't until months later the autopsy revealed he was suffering from cholangiocarcinoma; we don't know how long he had it or the cause.
Please consider donating in Mike's memory to help raise awareness and money to fund more research about this horrendous disease. To find out more about this disease... https://cholangiocarcinoma.org/the-disease/defined/ Mike you are forever loved and missed by all.

To the most amazing person who has come into my life, thank you. Thank you for your love, the memories, your patience, teaching me things, and teaching me how to do things. There is not a moment that goes by that I don't think of you and wish you were still here making me laugh and of course making me food . All my love.
