In memory of Jose Lafleur

José Lafleur was diagnosed with stage 4 non-smokers lung cancer in April 2016, and although the path set out for her was a rough one, she handled it as optimistically and bravely as one could. Although her initial prognosis was 6 months, she was able to make it through over 2 and a half years, thanks to the recent developments in lung cancer treatment .

Unfortunately, due to the stigma around the topic of lung cancer, the funding for research and development of cures is not very generous, despite it being the the biggest cancer killer in the UK. 10-15% of lung cancer sufferers are non-smokers, like Jose.
