In Memory of Conor & all our Angels

Hi Family & Friends,

As most of you are aware – in 2012 we heartbreakingly lost our first-born son Conor. As horrible as the experience was and is, we are blessed to have been under the most incredible care possible during the events of trying to save him and delivering him.  Words truly don’t do justice for how we feel about our treatment. I have the privilege of working in a role where I now get to help these beautiful families in their time of heartbreak and tragedy.
I am working in a large tertiary hospital and we have over 120 births a year, which result in families leaving the hospital without their babies.  A feeling which I cannot describe, it is the hardest part of our job.  Memory creation has become such a huge part of the process in leaving the families feeling a little less empty handed when they go home.  Through my time in this role I have identified that our photo printer could do with an update – it does a “good” job, however, I feel that our babies are entitled to amazing prints for their Mums & Dads to remember them through.
So I am on a mission to fundraise in lieu of my beautiful boy Conor and all the other babies gone too soon. Chris, Manny, Milla and myself wish to donate a new printer with some extra supplies of ink to the hospital I am working at with the help of our family and friends.  A great photo printer does not come cheap – and I am looking to have a goal financially, and work to that budget to maintain the printer and supplies.
I understand it is a huge request to ask for money and it doesn’t come lightly, so many people deserve help in various ways. If you aren’t able to donate, I ask that you shed light on the babies born sleeping.  Many people you know might have been, or will be, affected by a baby born sleeping or through miscarriage and neonatal death.  A stigma that must be changed!  This is often an avoided topic – but one which to the families effected by it, wish nothing more than their babies name being spoken of and remembered.

We are so grateful for Conor coming into our lives, and we are so grateful for the love we have received in every moment since losing our darling boy.  He’s memory I hope will live on in so many people, but also through beautiful images of these little Angels that can go home with their Mum’s & Dad’s.
