Ian's Eye Surgery Please help!

My son Ian needs eye surgery to correct the strabismus in his right eye. It is effecting his vision and interfering with his schooling. He has trouble reading and tracking the lines on the pages.  He is often stressed and aggravated because of the issues it is causing him. I hate seeing him so upset when he struggles to read. He is desparately needing this surgery to correct his vision as it continues to get worse. The doctor recently told us that he now needs to have the surgery done on both eyes because his left eye is becoming effected. Even with insurance the out of pocket is almost $5000 which is not including time off work to be able to be present during and after the surgery to make sure he is recovering well, or follow up appointments.  We recently had to replace our AC and are also about to have to pay for surgery for our daughter for tubes in her ears. The AC took everything we had saved up and the surgery is quickly approaching. We can't postpone the surgery again because it is substantially effecting his vision. We hate to see him struggle and upset when he is trying to do things his friends can easily do. The doctor and surgery center won't allow us to do payment plans for the pre-op costs and anesthesia. Any help would be greatly appreciated so we can make sure Ian gets the help he needs. Thank you in advance for any contributions.

Update after preop before surgery:
So preop was $2340, and anesthesia is now estimated at $2706. Medicine for his eyes is $18. Now the biggest issue we face is that the surgical center is stating that we owe $2130 on the morning of surgery. Back in March of this year the surgical center quoted me $980 and now it is the $2130! This is of course in the last few days before this amount is due. We are super blessed to have so many people helping as they can and trying to avoid loading up credit cards for this difference.
