Urgent: PK needs Oral Mass removal!

Pretty Kitty (Nickname PK) REALLY needs our help.
This pretty, friendly adult cat showed up in an Emmaus PA yard last year. She had apparently been turned out by her owner after she developed a mouth issue that caused drooling and a foul smell. This irresponsible owner refused to take her back inside or even provide food and shelter. Eventually, PK wandered away from her former home and was noticed by a kind neighbor that neuters and feeds the neighborhood strays. PK was given food and shelter in this kind person's garage, but before she could benefit from this improved situation the bitter cold of last winter had already claimed the tips of her pretty ears. Still, she was alive and now starting the journey to a better life.
In March of 2014 the kind people feeding PK noticed that she was drooling and her tongue hung out at times. They took her to their own vet who diagnosed PK with a tumor in her mouth. The vet's prediction was dire- he felt that this mass was likely cancer and recommended either a costly surgery/diagnosis of $5000+ or euthanasia. This surgery cost was outside of the means of their rescuer, but PK was still seemingly happy and they couldn't bring themselves to euthanize this sweet cat. They continued to care for her with the thought that when her quality of life declined they would make the call to euthanize her.
But PK didn't decline rapidly as predicted by the first vet that suspected cancer! When it became clear that PK still had some of her 9-lives left to live, PK's rescuer contacted the Cat Shack and our vets at Perkiomen Animal Hospital in Palm PA were quick to offer assistance with an exam and a 2nd opinion.
PK is tested negative for FeLV/FIV and although our vets see an angry mass inside of PK's mouth, they are optimistic. They feel that she can be treated and get the comfortable life she deserved with a family that will love her.
Perkiomen Animal Hospital agreed to perform the surgery and biosy for PK with an estimated range of $705-$928. That is already so much more affordable then the $5000 originally quoted!
