Eagle Scout Project for 7 Bridges

Donation protected
As you may know, I have been in Scouting since the first grade. I started as a Tiger in Cub Scouts and after eleven years in scouting, I am now working on my Eagle Rank with Troop 2096 in Acworth, Georgia. My final requirement to earn Eagle is to complete an Eagle Project.  An Eagle project requires me to plan out a project, recruit volunteers, acquire the materials, and act as the foreman of the project.
My project will benefit 7 Bridges to Recovery, a non-profit organization that strives to end homelessness in the Atlanta, Georgia and surrounding areas. They offer a separate home for both men and women recovering from abusive situations and help to rehabilitate the residents through religious intervention. My project will benefit the women’s shelter.   Most of these women are leaving bad situations and have little or no time to grab personal items for their kids and themselves. My project will be to build sixty whiteboards for each of the women in the shelter.  They will be used to write down encouraging religious messages to inspire those around them.  I hope to complete and present these framed message boards by Christmas.
My goal is to raise $1,300 by Sunday, December 7. The money will be used to buy the materials and supplies that are required to build and install the whiteboards by Christmas Day. These materials include trim, whiteboard sheets, nails, glue, and colorful paints. Thank you for your time and support.
