Jeff & Stacie Shouse Adoption Fund
Donation protected
Four years ago, Jeff and Stacie decided they were ready for children. They found out conceiving is not very easy for some people. After 2 years of not having success on their own, they started fertility treatments. Despite multiple IUIs and IVF rounds, they were still unable to have their own children. In 2015, they decided they were meant to be adoptive parents. They were contacted November 5, 2015 by an adoption agency letting them know they would finally have their dream come true - they were chosen to be parents.
They spent the next 5 months decorating a nursery, buying clothes and supplies, and picking a name. They flew to Florida March 10, 2016 to pick up their little boy, Langston Joseph. After a week of not hearing from the birth mother, Stacie finally got in touch with a friend of the birth mother. She informed Stacie the birth mother had never intended to give up the baby. She was scamming Jeff and Stacie the entire time.
Jeff and Stacie have been incredibly supported by their friends and family with prayers and comforting words in the past weeks. However, they spent $15,000 paying for the birth mother's expenses while she was pregnant. This is money they can't get back. Some of their friends have asked if they could help by donating to help them recoup this loss, and potentially try again some day. As Stacie said, "I'm just thankful for the caring, support, and thoughts." However, if you would also like to donate financially, it will be appreciated. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
