African American Children's Theatre

Donation protected
What began as a one-time musical theatre production by a group of excited young people has turned into an enduring Milwaukee treasure. The African American Children's Theater (AACT) was founded in 1989 after the tragic deaths of two young men. Their friends sought healing by putting on a play, and wanted to continue to offer more safe and constructive activities for other youth.

Since then, the AACT has rallied youth around a simple idea: Come, experience the joy of theatre and be magically transformed into students who excel, young people who can become our future leaders.

AACT is a platform for kids to learn and grow starting at a young age to well rounded young adults. We incorporate education into our program because it's important for kids to not only show talent but to also show how smart they are.

AACT is seeking your help to keep our amazing theater up and running.  Without AACT  kids will not have a place to express themselves, no one will get to see their talents, and new faces won't get an opportunity to join.

We are asking for donations because we need to keep AACT doors open.  It is all about the kids.  Keeping this theater alive is for the kids.  Our goal is to continue to help kids grow and succeed.

AACT will be forever grateful for your help.  With your help, kids at AACT will grow into amazing young adults.
