HUMANIZE ME IS PASSIONATE ABOUT CHANGING THE PUBLIC’S PERCEPTION OF THE HOMELESS COMMUNITY. HOMELESSNESS, FOR MANY, EXISTS AS AN ABSTRACT CONCEPT. HOWEVER, HOMELESSNESS IS VERY MUCH REAL FOR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.
AS AN ADVOCACY PROJECT, HUMANIZE ME HOPES TO PUT A FACE TO THIS DIVERSE POPULATION. BY SHARING PHOTOS, STORIES, AND COFFEE HOURS OF HOMELESS COMMUNITY MEMBERS, HUMANIZE ME HOPES TO CHANGE "HOMELESSNESS" TO "HE" AND "SHE". BECAUSE UNTIL THAT HAPPENS, TOO FEW PEOPLE WILL CARE ENOUGH TO HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
For two years now, Humanize Me has been able to host an annual awareness event to support our neighbors on the streets and in shelters by providing a platform for their voices to be heard.
Throughout the year, Humanize Me asks for your advocacy, not your money. As the project grows and the events get larger, event costs become a reality.
All dontations will go directly to fund this year's awareness event. Any donations over the goal will go toward next year's event!www.humanizeme.org
