Help Tonya Stafford tell her Story
Donation protected
Often, when we think of human slavery it conjures up images of locks and chains, of women being locked in basements, and isolation. That is not always the case.
Tonya Stafford was sold by her mother for the price of drugs to satisfy her addiction. She was just 13 years old and had recently given birth to a baby girl, the consequence of being raped by the man who purchased her.
This did not happen in some third world country across the ocean. It occurred in South Dallas.
Tonya spent a decade enslaved, not by locks and chains, but by fear and the absence of anyone to help her escape.
Finally, with the help of a neighbor, Tonya and her children were able to escape. It is an amazing story, nearly as amazing as the transformation that has happened since in her life.
Today, Tonya is active in helping others caught up in human trafficking. She freely tells her story in order to give hope and encouragement to others in a similar situation.
Tonya's amazing story will be told in an upcoming book. We have hired a writer and secured a path to publishing, however, we need your help with the expense. When people hear her story they are moved. That is why we want to spread this story as far as possible.
Your gift will make that possible.
