Van Hire&Shipping Cost for Refugees

Hello and welcome!  Firstly, thank you for taking the time to look and read about this appeal.

This is the Go Fund Me page for raising money to deliver van/container loads of  goods; kindly donated from the People of Hull to the refugee camps in Calais, Dunkirk and further afield.  I am a volunteer working with a wider group of people in Kingston upon Hull.  We have set up a volunteer run network in Hull to enable local people to donate goods to help the thousands of refugees who find themselves stuck in the terrible situation in Europe  The situation there is dire and is a true humanitarian crisis.  There is serious need for urgent help.   The goods we plan to transport include (but are not limited to) items such as: tents, wellington boots, shoes, food, toiletries, warm clothing and cooking equipment. 

The funds raised here will facilitate the hire of vans, cover the fuel costs of travel from Hull, help to cover the ferry fee to cross the English Channel as well as funding the shipping costs to further afield like Kos/Serbia/Turkey.  We plan on sending at least two volunteers with each van to deliver the goods and then assist in any way they can over in the camps. If the goal is exceeded then the extra funds will be used to fund further trips and buy additional supplies. 

Please give whatever you can afford.  Any donation, no matter how small, will help enormously.
