Sherry Loesch, Mackenzie Lorenz, and Shannon Brown at Ferguson Style and Spa are asking for your help. We want desperately to hold on to our business here so that we can continue to be a part of this community. However, due to recent events with protesters, looting, and rioting our business has suffered greatly. Our hearts are broken for this beautiful community we call home. The recent events have left us shaken. Our business is down. People are leery to come in at night which is our busiest time. We are losing revenue daily and are trying to hang on and keep our doors open. If you are able to help us in this very difficult time, please know in advance that words can never describe how much we appreciate your assistance.
I opened Ferguson Style and Spa in October of 1992 in 300 sq. ft. of space that now houses the Ferguson Brewhouse kitchen. I started it with nothing except elbow grease and sheer determination to own my own business and raise my children to the best of my ability. Over the next 13 years, myself and several stylist friends helped me to build the business we enjoy today, servicing clients from the Community of Ferguson as well as St. Charles, O’Fallon, Kirkwood, Hazelwood, Glen Carbon Illinois, etc…. In 2004 it became necessary to leave the building I was in and find a new home as Joe Lonero purchased it and later turned it into the Ferguson Brewhouse. I found my new “home” at 811 S. Florissant Rd. , a two-story multi-use building that was in need of major renovations. My family and friends thought I had completely lost my mind. Maybe I had, but in a good way. For the next year my friends, family and myself worked diligently to remodel the 1200 feet of space that was to be the new home of Ferguson Style and Spa. On October 25th we opened our door to an amazing response. Our business tripled within the first year and it turned out I wasn’t crazy after all, just driven and full of vision. Our business today boasts clients from as far west as Wentzville, as far south as Imperial. My daughter Mackenzie works with me full time and has for the past 12 years. Our nail tech, Shannon has been with us the last five years. My youngest Daughter Kate plans to come here to work in December when she finishes Beauty School. We are a Family Run business. It’s been a long, sometimes difficult journey that I have enjoyed immensely. I am vested deeply in the Community and call the second floor of my building “home”.
