Matthews' Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Bob Matthews and his family have dealt with hardships before, and persevered with strength and courage. When Bob was 30, he got into a car accident, and was pulled out just before the car exploded. Even after breaking his back and no longer being able to work, he has been able to push forward and care for his family. While knowing how hard his circumstances are, he has always managed to make people happy by caring for and putting everyone else before him. He continues to show this bravery, even in his latest fight against lung cancer.

Bob was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer. What was first believed to be primarily in his bronchial tubes, has now been found in his lungs as well. Bob and his wife, Jennifer, and two kids, Justin and Skylar, continue to stay strong. Bob strongly believes in God, and even though he is hurting right now, he uses religion to perservere. He makes everyone around him stronger by telling them everyday that he loves them and not to worry.

Unfortunately, all the strength in the world can't pay for the medical bills piling up. That is why the Roxbury High School Interact Club has started this fundraiser, to do anything we can to ease their burden. Justin has always been very involved in our club, and has helped in efforts to aid families that have been in the situation his family is now in, so it's our turn to give back. Please donate what you can to this amazing family in their time of need.
