Hope for Jalil

Donation protected
As parents, we are pretty beside ourselves. We just heard news that Jalil, is very sick, and has what looks to be a staff infection that is spreading all over his body. Jarison and I are hopping on the next flight to Honduras tomorrow morning. We are going to get him off the island, and to a hospital immediately. Please pray for our baby. Also, please pray for jarison and I. We no longer have a house there, so pray that we find a place to stay. We are going there kind of blind, and without a plan, other than getting our baby better. I can't help but feel sad because this wouldn't have happened if the government would have allowed Jalil to come to the USA with us. We need this Humanitarian Parole Visa now more than ever. Please forward our story on to anyone you know that could help our baby be granted this humanitarian visa! The more support from all of you, and our elected officials, the better! //

I truly cannot thank you all enough for your incredible heart and willingness to help keep our family together where we belong! I will try to keep this short.

I spent the last 3 1/2 years as a Missionary in Honduras where I met my husband Jarison who was a staff member at the Orphanage/Boarding School where we served. His nephew Jalil came to live with me before Jarison and I were even married, due to his grandmother being ill and unable to care for him. Jalil had just turned two and needless to say, I completely fell in love with this amazing little boy!!

Jarison and I quickly began the process of adopting Jalil, hired an Attorney in Honduras who of course said all the right things, and took several thousand dollars from us during the process. We were told the adoption would be finalized in March of 2016, so we quickly hired an Attorney in the US to begin Jarison’s Visa process because we were afraid that as quickly as Jalil’s process was moving along, that he and I would be allowed to move home to the United States and my husband would not. Little did we know that everything we had been told from our Honduran Attorney was not true, and we had lost thousands of dollars. We were devastated to say the least. We were also completely stuck between a rock and a hard spot because we were so far along in my husband’s Visa process so we began praying for a miracle to keep our family together.

A few months ago when Jarison’s visa was approved we had to leave our child behind which was the most difficult thing we have ever done. We have hired a new Attorney and are pleading with our federal government to allow Jalil to join us here in the United States under the Humanitarian Parole until Honduras allows us to adopt when I am 25 years old. Jalil knows how hard his Mommy and Papi are fighting for him!

He is currently living in the Miskito Coast of Honduras with his Grandmother which is one of the most remote and dangerous area’s of Honduras. We are truly begging for help to get Jalil out of this dangerous situation and back in our arms as soon as possible! We belong together!

From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you for being such a blessing to our family!

Forever Grateful,

Kenzie and Jarison Salomon
