Home for Brunis

Brunis has been a part of our team for the past four years. He has volunteered his time teaching English to our children- and he will now be dedicating his time and efforts to running a Business Program for teaching individuals and families how to create small enterprises to empower themselves to rise above poverty.
Over the past few years Brunis has struggled with homelessness, sleeping on a friends couch, and even having to resort to staying at his old school. He has not slept in a real bed for over a year. Brunis is a motivated, dedicated, and hardworking man. He is doing his best to rise above his circumstances. He has been working odd jobs here and there paying his own way through school (which is expensive in Haiti).
We have decided that due to his hard working demeanor and dedication to our children- we will secure housing for him for 1 year so that he can focus on saving for his future.
Brunis is also the responsible for his younger sister Brunia who is 4 years old. She has been in our care for the past two years. With Brunis having secure housing we will be able to work towards reuniting the siblings and restoring the family environment they are both needing.
However, to make his house "home" he will be needing some additional furnishings. We want to ensure that he has a real bed to sleep on- as well as his younger sister. Our goal is to raise enough funds to not only purchase him a bed but also a mini fridge, small stove, a fan, and dishes and utensils. Our goal of $1150 will be enough to cover the essentials. We are hoping that you will join our efforts in providing this family a safe place to call home and where they can thrive and work towards creating a secure and sustainable future.
