Fund our History Trips!

The Bound Brook HS History department is eager to organize class trips for our students to various area cities. We are planning 4 trips for the spring of 2016.
One trip will be to Philadelphia, where we will explore the Constitution Center, Christ's Church Burial Ground, and the Betsy Ross House. Students will be able to see foundations of our country's history through interactive tours.
Another trip will be to lower Manhattan where we will tour the 9/11 museum and learn about terrorism's effects on our everyday lives.
The third trip will be to Gettysburg where we will view the expansive battlefields that changed the tide of the Civil War.
Finally, a trip to Washington DC will allow our students access to the Holocaust Memorial Museum to be able to see the catastrophic story that gripped the lives of Europeans before and during WWII.
The funds will be used toward our admission to the various sites as well as costs for transportation.
As a Title I school where many of our students live at or below the poverty level, we are in need of funding for our trips. We don't have the ability to ask the families to pay for these trips because many of them do not have the means to afford to do so. That's where you come in. Please consider a donation to help our students be able to bring history alive. We are eager to SHOW them history, rather than just talk about it. Being able to bring these students to sites they most likely will never see is a goal of our department in make learning interactive and fun.
