Hate Has No Home Here - Naperville
$10,194 of $7,000 goal
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
We are raising money to print and distribute a fourth round of "Hate Has No Home Here" yard signs and car magnets, for Naperville and the surrounding communities.
Please share this campaign widely. We had great success with our first three rounds, raising $5900 and printing 1300+ signs, and there have been many asks for more, especially in the wake of the horrible events in Charlottesville.
With that, our goal total is rising to $7000. Fundraising for this round will close on 8/22 at which time signs and magnets wil be ordered. Let's go!
Hate, unchecked, can make neighbors feel fearful and unwelcome in their own communities. The Hate Has No Home Here project reminds us what it means to be American.
Our local community is characterized by its diversity of age, race, nationality and ethnicity. We seek to celebrate that demographic, overcoming fear and ignorance to break down the mysteries between us and work to build a more peaceful community for the next generation. The Hate Has No Home Here project seeks to declare neighborhood residences, schools, businesses, and places of community free from hate speech and behavior, providing safe places for conversation, work, learning, and living.
The project is deliberately apolitical and nonpartisan. It represents our desire for civil discourse, even amidst our varying opinions. Our colors are red, white, and blue - the same as our flag -not endorsing a political party or platform but the entire country and the strong fabric we weave together.
Signs will be 18"x24" double-sided, color, corrugated plastic, with stakes. One side will have the multi-language logo on a blue field, the other side will have it on a red field. We will again be printing our customized version which adds Hindi, Chinese, French, Polish, German, and Russian to the original design.
Car magnets will be the same size/format as bumper stickers, but will be magnetic to affix to a car or office whiteboard. Car magnets will only have the HHNHH in English, as below
As a Reward and Thank You, for any donation of $10 or more we will guarantee 1 sign and 1 magnet will be reserved for you. All amounts donated above $10 will fund additionals signs and magnets for the general public.
If you represent a community group and are ordering large quantities, please contact me first so I can pass on to you the full bulk discount and set yours aside.
Signs will be available for pickup at a Naperville, IL location at the end of August or early September. Dates and times will be published vial email to donors and Facebook. We will not deliver/ship.

I am bringing this campaign to a close. The final distribution date for Hate Has No Home Here signs and magnets is Tuesday 1/30, 7-8pm at Starbucks 1200 S Naper. This will be *the last* time materials will be set aside for online donors. Any donor award not picked up by Tuesday will be given to the community. I will offer remaining signs and magnets to local congregations to distribute after that for general pickup. I will post that info to our Facebook page.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Distribution continues this Sunday morning 1/21, 10am-11am, at the Starbucks at 1200 S Naper (near Marianos). Drop in, get warm, get a morning mocha, and pickup your sign and magnet. Hope to see you there.
If you are a Hate Has No Home -Naperville donor from 2017 who has not yet picked up your sign/magnet, please do so this month, or I will assume you no longer want it, and I will make it available to the community.
