Paralyzed Mother Of 8

Asalamu aleikoum Warahamtullah Wabarakatuhu Family & Friends. As most of you know, my mother was involved in a car accident and has become paralyzed from her neck down. My mother injured her spinal cord at the c5 level and is currently in respiratory failure. It will certainly be a long road. She’s a kind mother of 8 kids and by God we’ve been struggling. The simple reason I’ve made this gofundme account was because we’ve been having a hard time being financially stable. Prior to her accident,  my sister and I have been financially providing for our family and now that my mother has been in this accident, it’s been hard taking care of her, my siblings, AND trying to maintain a job. My mother requires 24 hour care, she’s being cathed every 4 hours and needs to be repositioned every 2 hours. This has been especially hard because we haven’t gotten any assistance from home health aides or anything. To be honest, we’ve been doing it all.  Many people from the community have helped us financially while she was in the icu but now that she’s home, everybody has pretty much went back to their lives (May God reward them for their help). Our gas and electric bill are both late for this month but by the grace of God, they gave us an extension. I have NO IDEA how we’re going to pay the rent for June but God always provides even if it’s through your donations. Everyone that knows me knows I never ask for help wallahi but I’m literally desperate. All I’m asking is that you donate however much you can to help us for the month of June, hopefully we can get this home health aid thing going by then and my sister and I will be able to get paid to work for my mother. If you can’t donate, please please keep us in your prayers.

UPDATE

Salaam everyone, thank you sooo much for your support and donations. I never thought we would reach our goal this soon. InshaAllah a few of you guys have contacted us and told us to add to our goal. Reason being that our family needs to move into a bigger place that’s handicap accessible. Our current place has only two rooms outside of my mom’s for 8 of us to share.
