Our Anchor Eva

As many of you know, Alicia, Jamie, and Kellen welcomed Eva into their family in December of 2018.  Eva was born with an aggressive undiagnosed brain tumor that has affected her ability to breathe and eat on her own.

Over the past 9 months, Eva has made great strides, despite having to spend 148 days in the hospital.  She is smiling, rolling over, has 4 teeth and has a great love for her hands, especially looking at them and sucking on them when she is tired. She loves her mom, dad, and brother and will blow kisses to them whenever she can.

Eva is a warrior and has endured 5 surgeries and multiple hospitalizations. Due to Eva’s medical complexities, her immune system is compromised which continues to put her at risk of developing respiratory illnesses such as RSV and Pneumonia. With cold and flu season quickly approaching and lack of nursing coverage, Alicia returning to work is not an option.

Alicia and Jamie are completely humbled by the amount of outreach and care that they have received from friends and family since they have begun this journey with Eva. As a result they have been able to maintain a semblance of normalcy (especially for Kellen).

So many people love this family and have reached out asking what they can do to help. Please consider donating to their Go Fund Me to support Eva's journey to a healthy recovery.

Thank you all so much for considering helping this amazing family.
