The Hamburgular Needs Your Help!

We fear that Bandit could be suffering from some sort of congenital condition such as malformation, inborn error of metabolism, or potentially a neonatal infection.
Bandit is a 1.5 year old rescue from the Dearborn, MI area that is currently in our care due to the adoptive parents no longer being able to keep him. Upon us taking him in we were told that Bandit drags his feet when he walks to the point that his nailbeds will begin to bleed. We have put socks and booties over them when we go for walks, but he has already rubbed holes in the hiking boots due to scraping.
He was so clumsy around the house that we felt it best if we took Bandit to the Animal Clinic of Sterling Heights to get his feet looked at- it was there that the doctor recommended we see a neurologist. I set up an appointment for the following week 10/4 with the Animal Neurology & MRI Center. After our vist with the neurologist, Dr. Moore, he informed us that he doesn't believe Bandit is able to register where his feet are, and he thinks that Bandit could be suffering from some sort of congenital condition such as malformation, inborn error of metabolism, or potentially a neonatal infection. Dr. Moore explained it to us as potentially being some sort of growth, maybe a pocket filled with liquid or a
tumor, pressing against his spine and nervous system causing the issues. Since Dr. Moore thinks that the source of the problem lies in Bandits spinal cord he has limited his activity to exclude anything strenious to his neck. He told us that Bandit will need bloodwork, X-rays, a MRI and potentially a spinal tap in order to determine the exact problem. These costs are unfortunately out of our budgets, which leads us here to ask for your hlelp.
Bandit is one of the sweetest, well tempered, cuddly, loving, and GOOFY pups I have ever met. He has already been through so much- if anyone deserves to live a full and fantastic life, it's this dude!
Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or would like to meet the man himself.

Anything helps and is greatly appreciated- let's get Bandit back on his feet! :)
