Help Save The Time Machine!!!

The Time Machine is an independently run retail store in the heart of Nambour QLD specialising in records, comics, toys, vintage gaming, pop culture collectables. It is currently run by ourselves, Daniel Stuth and Barton Worthington.



The last 6 years of having The Time Machine has been an amazing adventure and we are really proud of what we have been able to achieve as part of a community, hosting over 60 gigs and hundreds of bands to an alternative Sunshine Coast audience.



We have made many life-long friends in the time that we have been here, and for that we are truly grateful.



2 years ago, we suffered the tragic loss of our best friend and business partner and honestly we haven't been the same since. As well as taking its toll emotionally and physically, we now find ourselves in a worrying financial position, leaving us wondering how we are going to pay the next months rent and bills.



We have put all of our hearts, time and money into trying to make this work without asking for help, but now we come to you in a time of need and ask if you could please help us out to keep going and for us to continue to be a part of this great community.


UPDATE: We understand that people could be upset that we're asking for help, there are other deserving people and businesses in this community and it has been a big pressure on us to even ask for help, but we're basically between a rock and a hard place here. We can't get another bank loan or credit card, we're heavily in debt, receive next to no pay for what we do and have to come up with 6-8K every month just to keep the doors open. Rent and bills are astronomical- each of us have other part time jobs to make ends meet. We're just mentioning this so people know that we ARE trying, even as we suffer, including having received death threats, we try. In fact, we've helped raise several thousand dollars for community non-for-profits, charities and deserving individuals and families in the 6 years we've been here.

If you can't donate, or don't want to, that's totally fine, at this point, even a kind word is going to raise our spirits. If you don't want to say anything kind, you're entitled to your opinion and we've probably thought what you're saying many times anyway. We're not perfect, and we do feel guilt for setting this whole gofundme thing up when it's clear everybody struggles. We hope that you can come to see our desperation and forgive us for having to ask. If there's ever any way you think that we could help another cause in future, please let us know.

However, we greatly appreciate any donation you're willing to give. Any donations over $50 will receive a small gift pack to say thank you. We also have plans to thank the community and all donators in the coming weeks with a special event- more details on this to come.
