Help Us Help Others

Hello friends,

As some of you know, my boyfriend and I live in a school bus turned tiny home.  The bus isn't only our home, but our outlet for sharing food with the public. We also offer a tool library for people to use for their own projects. Our home is an open door, for those who do not have a place to dry their feet.  We share our industrial sewing machine, our tools, and meals with our neighbors.

The bus offers...
** A solar powered system, providing those without readily available access to electricity with a place to charge their phones, mobile communication devices, and more.
**A wood burning stove, where folks can dry their wet clothes and warm up from the cold, wet Seattle weather.
**A five burner stove range, to feed the masses.  The kitchen provides warm tea, hearty and protein rich foods.
**A fully composting lavatory which produces zero sewage.
**Hygiene care packages including but not limited:  feminine products, toiletries, oral hygiene kits, and a first aid station.
**A tool library where friends and passersby can repair their bicycles, work on their vehicles, or whatever project they would like to accomplish.

We recently found out that the bus had a severe oil leak amongst other things. The fuel injection pump has begun to fail, causing insufficient fuel delivery and loss of engine power. This is a copy of our initial estimate, totalling shy of $2,500.

We pulled our funds together and managed to cover the initial estimate.  Shortly after the bus had been in the shop, we got another phone call from the lead mechanic. He invited us to come to the shop and fill us in on what the technicians found after doing a full diagnostic.  It turns out that some critical components of the fuel delivery system also needed to be replaced.

Update:  Unfortunately, our final estimate totals $7,000.  We have put in everything we  can ($2500) we are still left with a deficit to face.

Our goal is to save the bus, so we can keep on living, keep on sharing, and keep on loving.   As of now, our bus is in the shop and in no position to move.  Though we are broke, we are not broken.  We have hope, faith, ambition and drive to keep the wheels rolling.

Please consider helping us continue to serve others.  Help us to continue to help others, by getting our home up and running.

We will be greatly, GREATLY appreciate  any and all donations.    Thank you so much for your help :)
