Help Otis Retire!
The Cable Community Farm is a nonprofit organization dedicated to growing food and building community. Founded in 2013, we are growing faster than we had anticipated as we continue to work to meet the community need for fresh produce and access to garden space. In our Community Garden, we have 25 gardeners who rent plots for the growing season. In the Growing Together Garden, we grow food for the Cable Area Food Shelf and Free Food Mondays, all with donated materials and volunteer labor. We house the Theatre Flowers Garden, where flowers are grown to support the Chequamegon Children's Theater. We also have a Community Chicken Coop, a Community Orchard, and a Community Seed Library. And we're just getting started!
"Otis", our 1939 Ford 9N tractor is long overdue for retirement! We need a new (used) tractor to keep up with all of the current work around the farm and for all of the cool projects that we have planned for the future.
We envision a community with abundant access to healthy affordable food...you can help!
