Helping victims of Mark D's abuse

As many of you know, our dear friend Suzanne V. has accused her former pastor, Mark D., of sexual abuse and inappropriate behavior. Since the time her accusations became public, several additional women have come to Suzanne and shared their stories of abuse by Mark D. Because the Board of Evergreen Community Church has chosen to retain a lawyer regarding these allegations, Suzanne and the other victims who have come forward have been put in a position where they feel they must also secure legal representation. The need for legal representation in this matter is why we felt the need to start this Go Fund Me page. Donations will be used SOLELY for legal expenses surrounding the effort to resolve this matter for Suzanne and other victims who come forward. The money will not go directly to Suzanne or any of the other victims, but will be dispersed by a third party (listed as the beneficiary to this campaign) to exclusively cover legal expenses. Should there be donations in excess of legal expenses incurred, the balance will be donated to a nonprofit that helps abuse victims.
