Helping make a Marbot Baby a Reality

Getting to know our neighbors, the Marbot's, have been an absolute blessing to my family. They are the most caring, generous, loving, fun, and heart-felt individuals and we feel so blessed to have these incredible ladies in our lives, especially for our little one, as female role models to look up to!
Recently, the Marbots confided in us about their tragic events in 2018. After spending nearly the entire year going through the procedures of IVF, they lost their twin babies after 9 weeks. This news was heartbreaking, especially as they learned in the new year that they are now NOT eligible for fertility coverage because they not meet the minimum requirements.
“Exposure to sperm for 12 months without pregnancy”. As two women in a married relationship, they would never qualify. They have tried to appeal it and talk with the United Healthcare Company representatives, but no exceptions will be made, despite having coverage in 2018. Their only option now: self pay.
Emily Jess already work full time jobs, and each have a part time job to help make ends meet. After talking with them about their options to self pay, they were discussing refinancing their mortgage, and taking a loan out on their 401k to meet the financial requirements of 30,000 to 35,000 to try the IVF process again. I wanted to do more than send positive vibes, and thoughts their way. I wanted to create a way to help them reach their goal with the support of our friends, family, and community.
It takes a village to raise a child, and in this case lets come together and help to make the Marbot's dream come true of having a little bundle of joy in 2019.
