Nephew who has autism robbed

Donation protected

Last week my nephew  Ethan Rowland who has autism was burglarized by a man he thought was his friend. This man was invited to Ethan’s apartment to play Xbox. While he was there he got a good look at the contents of his apartment and the code to his door. The man arranged for Ethan to meet him in the park the next day so they could hang out together. Ethan was excited to have a new friend. The man was excited to take advantage of a vulnerable and naive person who wanted a friend so desperately he let this man mistreat him. Ethan went to the park not knowing his “friend” was stealing his Xbox, controllers, Nintendo Switch and his laptop; these things would be missed by anyone but especially by someone who counts on them to fill sometimes very lonely hours. He was upset when he found all of his things were gone, but it was the  betrayal that was the most heart breaking for him. Neither Ethan nor his parents can afford to replace what was stolen. My goal is to raise $1.500 to cover the replacement cost of the stolen items and to, maybe, restore his faith  in humankind. I'm so worried about him; he's really closed himself off.  I know everyone is gearing up for Christmas, but I'm praying we can all give a little to mean a lot.
