Teaching and helping in Tanzania

Donation protected
Hi there!  First of all, thank you very much for clicking on this link.  I understand that you don't just donate money without some background information, so let us share our story with you.
We will leave for Tanzania beginning of November 2019 for a period of 2 weeks and this is why:

I am Tiare Böck and last winter I traveled with my family to Tanzania. We went on a safari and visited different tribes.  I was swept away by the people, the nature and the culture. In one of the villages, we visited an elementary school.  Despite the scarce teaching materials, and the limited training of the teachers, the children were super enthusiastic to learn.  I felt immediately that I wanted to do something for these kids. Our guide, Otto Simon, suggested that I come back and help as a volunteer.  Through Otto, I made contact with Steve Martin, who coordinates various support efforts for Masai villages, and has arranged this initiative.  Now, I can hardly wait to make this dream come true.  Together with my best friend, Arianne Middendorf. We will record a vlog of this special trip to hopefully inspire others but also to let you share in the enjoyment of our experience.  I hope you will support us in this good cause. And it would be really kind if you would share this link with others. Thanks for your attention and support.

We will be volunteers in a Masai village near Arusha.  We'll teach the children English and math and undertake various playtime activities with them.  In this way we will further their education and development. The money we are collecting here will go exclusively to cover the costs of our volunteering, including travel, lodging in a hostel, and a donation to the school where we will be working.

I am Arianne Middendorf and I am a specialised child care worker at a kindergarden for over 2 years now. My love and passion for children is big and I sincerely enjoy when a child is happy and feels loved. So as you have read my best friend Tiare visited Tanzania last winter and she shared her experience with me. We came to a decision to volunteer in Tanzania, and I am really excited just by thinking about it. I already did volunteer work twice. Once in India with the organisation (HOPE) I helped to renovate a school which was destroyed by a tsunami. I mostly spend time with the children there and gave them dance lessons. My second volunteer work was in the USA, Philadelphia. I helped organising a sport camp for inner city children who had a tough time at home. These two experiences have changed my life and gave me a different perspective on things. Both trips  really touched me. This is why I really would like to  volunteer again and give all my love and support to the children and people who need it. Volunteering in Tanzania would be an amazing experience. And we hope to inspire others with our journey and share our experiences by making a vlog. We would love to do volunteering work more often. Please support us trying to make small changes with hopefully a big impact. Feel free to share this link, we would really appreciate it! Thank you so much for your time and support.
