My name is Tim Prosser. I moved to Denver from Boston a year ago in order to progress my career as a music teacher and get to experience new things.
On October 20th of this year I was driving on a main road in Denver and I was hit by two drunk drivers going 100 mph. The two drivers were in a stolen vehicle and I was in the hospital for two days. Afterward I needed to check myself into a mental health facility because I was suicidal and dealing with the effects of PTSD.
I am still struggling with these things, and they have been worse every passing day. It doesn't help that I know so few people in Denver for help. My entire support system is back home in MA.
In addition to this, my best friend and roommate is moving out to go backpacking in South America and I am going to have to pay the penalities of leaving this lease early as well as first and last at a new apartment.
Right now I am really struggling mentally and financially. It doesn't help that because I am working as a music teacher I will not have work over the next week because my studio is closed down. I really don't like the idea of asking people for money, but I literally don't know what I am going to do. Any amount of money will get me closer to being able to afford the payments for the car, hospital, mental facility, apartments, and simply food for the time being. It would mean everything to me if you can help at all. I am on the verge of losing everything because of this.
I set the goal at $1,000, but that is a pretty arbitrary number. The more I can obtain, the better it would be, as I want to continue therapy but lack the money and I don't even know if I will be able to pay everything off with that amount. I really hope that all of you can help me out with even the smallest donations because I don't know what I can do. Because I need the money for so many different things, there is no difinitive end date for this fundraiser. I am going to throw out Dec. 1st because it will allow me to pay my rent at both this apartment and my next one.
