Sebastian and Erielle

We are so excited to have Erielle in our lives! Sebastian has started a beautiful new chapter in his life that has changed his heart forever. We flew Sebastian down to meet his daughter and he was allowed to stay at the apartment of Erielle's mother for a limited time. Until he is able to find a job and apartment, he is staying at different hotels at the cost of my mom and myself. Unfortunately this is becoming very expensive with the traveling to Michigan, Uber’s to and from the hospital to see Erielle at the NICU, food, and now hotel costs. Sebastian is in a state he's never been to and has no friends or family. He's alone, tired, depressed and just wanting to be part of his daughters life. And because he was not put on the birth certificate it has been making things a lot more complicated. The paternity test is going to cost money in order to put him on the birth certificate as well as the birth certificate itself. On top of the hotels, birth certificate, food, shelter, and soon he is going to need transportation to visitations with his daughter (Erielle is out of the hospital), his job interview Monday, and hopefully to and from work until he is able to support himself. We pray he gets this job because we are running out of money to send him to live and survive until he is able to get on his feet himself. At this point the maternal grandmother has custody of Erielle which we are grateful for however the goal is for Sebastian to have his daughter. If anyone has any ties or friends/family in Michigan that would be able to guide him in the right direction for possible job opportunities, a couch to sleep on or just a friend to talk to that would be amazing ! Our family is unfamiliar with Grand Rapids, Michigan and blindly helping him out. It is very difficult to bring myself to ask but anything any one could do to help financially would be truly appreciated. We are trying to get Sebastian a stable place to stay to be able to take care of and raise Erielle. The final goal is to get them both home with us in New York but until then we are trying to make them both safe, happy and healthy until then.
