Help us launch The Servi Institute!

Donation protected
For some time, now, I have been tracking and encouraging a convergence of opinion among scholarly friends, parents, educators, parishioners, and leaders that I trust.  We see the need for a more complete formation not only in revealed truths, but in the practice of living faithfully and with dignity.

In Summer Seminar sessions, some of us vigorously discussed the Catholic tradition of Liberal Arts education. Some of you have provided much of the hospitality that has incubated this work and helped to shape an emerging, and we hope robustly traditional, vision of the Liberal Arts tightly integrated with the Practical Arts, as they should be.

Working together, we will build The Servi Institute to give that vision a home:  our homes, a virtual "home," and eventually its own brick-and-mortar place in the world.

The Servi Institute is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the integration of Liberal and Practical Arts in the Catholic tradition throughout Oklahoma by advocacy, education, and consultation so that every person can not only make a living, but know what living's worth.

Our first concrete project is a conference which we intend to hold in October 2018, called The Urban Village .  Here we hope to gather friends who will help us pursue a "from cloud-castles to blueprints" agenda for making this vision real.

In order to get this going, I need to lay out funds to file papers for incorporation and 501(c)(3) status, get some basic project management software and a more complete initial web presence up and running, and cover some printing and (if at all possible) professional development costs.  I have already put out some of the money (for a domain and printing, for example) and will continue the work as long as I have some concrete assurance of your support.

Will you help me defray the initial out-of-pocket costs I've incurred in helping to form The Servi Institute?  There are filing fees, costs for web hosting and a domain, and a few similar expenses (which I will be happy to itemize for you, if you're interested).  It's not a great deal of money if a lot of people give a little, and it will help us give a great deal more back.

To be clear:  This is to help me (Peter G. Epps) defray out-of-pocket costs to get the non-profit launched, not a tax-deductible donation.
