My daughter Brittney passed away on 09.24.19 from an overdose. We, her family found her unresponsive in the bathroom. She lost to much oxygen and was pronounced brain dead. She also damaged her lungs so she would never breath again on her own. She left a 10
My daughter Brittney passed away on 09.24.19 from an overdose. We, her family found her unresponsive in the bathroom. She lost to much oxygen and was pronounced brain dead. She also damaged her lungs so she would never breath again on her own. She left a 10mth old baby girl behind who has been in our care since she was born. Hollyn was born addicted to heroine and NNS. Because of this there is an open DSS case against Brit and her father, who is a long time addict, and introduced Brit to heroine. He is currently incarcerated and never been apart of Hollyns life. Because Brit has passed away custody needs to be determined. I only have temporary custody but full guardianship. I have to fight for full custody. After that is done my husband and I can adopt her and no-one can fight for her. Currently the dad and his family are trying to fight for custody. They live out of state and have never met Hollyn but once. They've never have had anything to do with her. Hollyn deftinally doesn't need to be with the dad. His rights should be terminated. He's bad news.
We need to raise money to hire an attorney ASAP. Money will go to attorney fees, GAL fees, Court fees, and hopefully a trust fund for Hollyn. We live paycheck to paycheck. We've always handled our own like you should and have never relied on others but this time we need to!!! It is a matter of life!!
Hollyn has a loving family. We are the only ppl she's ever known. I am a mom of five so we have a happy full home and Hollyns aunts and uncle are very attached to her as she is them! She has a great nana and Popz. It would break us if she was ordered to go somewhere else. Hollyn is the only part of Brittney that I have left.
