Help us hold a Frontline Worker Appreciation Night

Donation protected
We are a collective of frontline workers in Toronto who serve some of our city's most vulnerable populations - we are drop in and shelter workers, nurses, harm reduction workers, counsellors, settlement workers and more. We're passionate about the work we do and even though it can be stressful and overwhelming, we want to continue doing it!

Having time to rest, reflect, and celebrate each other for doing this work helps us build relationships, fight burn-out, and continue doing our work. While our agencies do what they can to support workers, finding funding in a field that's already tight isn't easy. That's why we've taken on organizing this for ourselves.

One year ago, our collective was founded at an event aimed at celebrating frontline workers and bringing us together. Since then, we've been sharing resources and job postings with our community, hosted training on trauma and boundaries at work, and an art and mindfulness event. As a way to keep that positive movement going, we're holding our 1 year anniversary party on October 17, 2019 at a community space in Kensington Market!

As a grassroots collective, we do everything ourselves. Workshops and other events are made possible by community donation and volunteer hours. All money raised through this campaign will be used to host the Frontline Worker Appreciation event on October 17, and any surplus will be used for future training or wellness events.
